Where to even begin?! We headed out to Jared’s family land in Gonzales Texas on this chilly evening to photograph this sweet duo on film & digital. I was slightly nervous (more excited than anything) because I knew what Regan did not- a surprise proposal was imminent! When Kenneth & I arrived we were greeted by Jared saddling up his gorgeous Quarter horse Sailor. (Who we discovered, was FULL of personality and spunk!)
When Regan was finished dressing, (can we just take a moment to appreciate her gorgeous gown?) we each loaded up into our trucks and headed deeper into the property. As we drove further in, I laughed at Kenneth & said, “I cannot imagine driving anything other than a truck!!!” (Here in Texas, 50% of my Engagement & Portrait Session take place on immense ranches, family property, and include some form of off roading…TEXAS FOREVER!)
So began the sweetest session! Jared & Regan have undeniable chemistry! They giggled, and enjoyed themselves as I guided them through a few natural poses & prompts.

Beautiful inside and out!
I knew the perfect moment was imminent. I started taking portraits of just Regan while Jared ran to his truck to put on his Grandfathers cowboy hat. And then had Jared join her and asked them to slowly walk away from me.
“Okay, now just Jared look back and smile” (At this point I’m giddy! Regan has no idea whats about to happen!!!!!)
Total & complete surprise !!!!!
Swept off her feet!!!!!
The sun was almost gone, but we had to grab a few photos with the handsome Sailor before we departed!
